For hip flexors: Put the roller on the floor and rest your hip flexors on top. Hold yourself up using your arms, while rolling the roller up and down your legs from the hip to the mid-thigh.

For IT bands: Put the roller on the floor and rest your hip on top. Roll the outer side of your leg from your hip down to your knee. Switch sides.

For hamstrings: Sit with your bottom on the floor, and the roller under the back of your upper thigh.  Roll your hamstrings using your body weight. 

For your upper back: Lie down with the roller around your mid-back. While keeping yourself stable with your feet, roll your mid- to upper-back until your muscles relax.

For your chest: Lie on the ground with the roller under your armpit. Roll it across your pec. Repeat on the opposite side.
